Provide immediate assistance

Victims of the Easter Attacks

On Easter Sunday 2019, horrific terrorist attacks targeted churches and hotels, claiming a total of 359 lives and injuring many more.

Friends and colleagues of our member, Dr. Umeswaran Arunagirinathan, spontaneously provided a generous amount in donations. With the help of Bishop Malcolm of Colombo, we were able to secure the continued education of children who lost one parent in the attacks and to fund the necessary hospital stays and surgeries for two severely injured children.

Protective Masks Against COVID-19

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we supported women in the production of protective masks by providing them with the necessary materials, giving them detailed instructions on design, sewing, washing, and packaging, and ensuring they received fair wages for their work.

Food Packages

During the COVID-19 pandemic, food shortages and malnutrition became an increasing threat for many people in Sri Lanka. In response, we spontaneously launched our own fundraising campaign to provide food packages, ensuring the daily nutritional needs of people in need in Moratuwa and the Kandy region. This initiative aimed to reduce the immediate risk of malnutrition.
